Palliative Care Nursing Assistant

About the role

HammondCare, a NSW Health-affiliated organisation, invites applications from Assistants in Nursing with hospital experience to join its team providing patient-centred care to palliative care patients. The position is based in the palliative care ward at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga and is offered as a casual opportunity.

Required profile

• At least one year of relevant hospital experience, or a second-year Bachelor of Nursing student with at least one clinical placement and a desire to work in a palliative care ward.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Required skills

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Time management and the ability to prioritise competing workloads in a complex environment.
• Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.
