Painter - Residential & Commercial New Builds

About the role

An established Perth-based company with a steady pipeline of residential and commercial new builds is looking for experienced, reliable painters. The role covers all aspects of painting for new builds, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with ongoing work across a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, patching and cleaning
• Apply paints, primers, sealers and other coatings to internal and external surfaces
• Complete cutting-in, rolling and spraying where required
• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, frames, trims and other surfaces
• Finish work to a high standard and maintain a clean, organised work area
• Work at heights and from elevated work platforms when required
• Follow site safety requirements and construction procedures and meet project deadlines

Required profile

• Experienced in commercial or residential painting
• Confident completing all aspects of painting and surface preparation
• Quality-focused, reliable, punctual and able to work independently and in a team
• Safety-conscious and comfortable working at heights
• Physically fit for construction sites

Required skills

• Working at Heights qualification (mandatory)
• White Card
• Own reliable transport
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) qualification or licence preferred
