Paid Undergraduate Civil Engineer Placement (12 weeks)

About the role

This 12‑week paid work experience offers undergraduate civil engineering students the chance to apply their knowledge across traffic engineering, civil design, project planning and infrastructure delivery within a fast‑growing local council.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in traffic engineering analyses and solutions.
• Prepare civil design drawings using CAD software in line with standards.
• Support asset engineering and infrastructure delivery tasks.
• Contribute to project planning, cost estimating and tender documentation.
• Process applications submitted by service authorities.

Required profile

• Penultimate or final‑year civil engineering undergraduate (graduating 2026 or later).
• Current driver’s licence.
• Demonstrated knowledge of traffic engineering, civil design, project management and asset management systems.
• Strong time‑management and communication skills.
• General computer proficiency; experience with engineering software is an advantage.
