Packaging Sourcing Specialist

About the role

MECCA is looking for a Packaging Sourcing Specialist in Richmond to bring one of its categories to life through innovative, premium and sustainable packaging solutions. Working closely with the Senior Product Manager and cross-functional teams, you will lead end-to-end packaging development from concept through to production, partnering with suppliers across the globe.

Key responsibilities

• Own the packaging journey from initial concept through to launch, leading development across a portfolio on time and to high quality standards.
• Develop packaging solutions that balance design, functionality, sustainability and commercial outcomes.
• Partner with Product Development, Design, Compliance, Brand, Supply Chain and external suppliers to bring new products to market.
• Manage packaging testing, technical specifications, artwork approvals and regulatory compliance, including TGA requirements where applicable.
• Drive sustainable packaging innovation by identifying new materials, monitoring emerging legislation and promoting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience in packaging development within beauty, FMCG or a similar industry.
• Experience managing multiple development projects with strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Passion for sustainable packaging, circular design and material innovation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and supplier management.
• Understanding of packaging testing, quality and regulatory requirements, including TGA and global compliance.
• Stakeholder management and communication skills.
