Outside School Hours Care (Fun Squad) Educator

About the role

PCYC Hercules Road is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic Outside School Hours Care (Fun Squad) Educator to work with children. The role is casual, multiple positions are available, and the closing date is 08/11/2026. Pay is $37.55-$45.56 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, with junior rates applying.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high-quality practice in a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for children.
• Interact with and supervise children effectively while working as a team to deliver high-quality, fun programs.
• Acknowledge and support each child's unique strengths, needs and interests.
• Support a culture of safety and safeguarding in line with PCYC Queensland values.

Required profile

• No formal qualifications are required; qualified educators need a minimum Certificate III in a relevant area such as behavioural science, community services, education, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, sports and recreation or human welfare studies.
• Experience in the Fun Squad or long day care sector is desirable.
• Ability to respond to children's needs so that high-quality fun meets agreed standards.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain) is desirable.
• In some services, a light rigid or medium rigid driver's licence and a Queensland Transport Driver's Authorisation Card are needed if bus driving duties are undertaken.
• A Working With Children Check (Blue Card) is required, and a National Police Check must be completed on commencement.
