OSHC Assistant Coordinator - Gladstone South

About the role

Helping Hands Gladstone South, a long-standing Exceeding-rated service, is seeking an OSHC Assistant Coordinator to lead a team of Educators and oversee a before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. The role is permanent and part-time (28.75 hours per week) across split shifts Monday to Friday, with the current Assistant Coordinator retiring.

Key responsibilities

• Design and help lead a child-centred program with activities such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts
• Assist with rosters, daily operations, compliance and administration
• Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported and motivated
• Partner with families, the school community and internal stakeholders to help the service grow
• Be supported by an experienced Coordinator and Regional Manager

Required profile

• Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2-Year Qualified Educator in QLD under ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completed before onboarding (via Gecko)
• Clear, confident communication and teamwork, with ambition to grow into a leadership role
• Australian work rights
• Willingness to hold a National Police Check and a Working with Children check

What we offer

• Pay of $39-$42 per hour including allowances and super
• Split-shift schedule: Rise Then Shine 6:30am-8:45am, Stay and Play 2:30pm-6:00pm, and block shifts during school holidays

• $1,000 cash for each successful referral
