Oracle & SQL Database Administrator (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle & SQL Database Administrator to join our Database Services team on an initial 4‑month contract. You will manage critical enterprise databases across on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring performance, availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade and maintain Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL platforms and related tools.
• Support Oracle environments (OCI Exadata, RAC, Data Guard, TDE) and cloud databases (AWS RDS).
• Monitor performance, investigate incidents and resolve complex issues.
• Perform backups, restores, refreshes, reorgs and data extracts.
• Develop automation and scripting (Linux/Windows, PL/SQL, T‑SQL, shell).
• Provide Level 3 support and manage vendor escalations (Oracle, Microsoft).

Required profile

• Proven experience administering Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL in enterprise settings.
• Hands‑on experience with OCI and/or AWS RDS cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of high‑availability and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Excellent problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
