Ophthalmology Specialist Representative (18-Month Contract)

About the role

Roche is recruiting an experienced Ophthalmology specialist representative to act as a Patient Journey Partner (PJP) for its Ophthalmology portfolio. The role covers Central NSW, including Newcastle and Tamworth, and is a 18-month maximum term, field-based position. It suits candidates with a proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry and a passion for Ophthalmology.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the Ophthalmology treatment portfolio to healthcare professionals and build long-term relationships with ophthalmologists and practice staff.
• Independently meet territory metrics and targets, advancing customers through the adoption ladder.
• Develop and execute account and territory plans to maximise value for stakeholders and Roche.
• Meet customer engagement metrics through face-to-face meetings, virtual calls, dinner presentations, clinic luncheons and industry events.
• Share expert knowledge of the clinical data and benefits of the treatments.
• Collaborate with marketing, medical and other cross-functional teams to grow business and improve the customer experience.
• Monitor territory performance, market trends and competitor activity, and gather customer insights to shape strategy.
• Adhere to company policies and industry regulations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a specialist pharmaceutical representative or in a similar capacity.
• Bachelor's degree (or relevant diploma) in Life Sciences, Business or a related field (essential).
• Strong knowledge of the Ophthalmology landscape, treatments and clinical data (desirable).
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within and sometimes outside the territory.
• Full eligibility to live and work in Australia; visa and relocation support is not available.
