Operator – Production & Distribution

About the role

Ridley is seeking a safety‑focused and reliable Operator to join its Product Distribution Centre in Cairns. This hands‑on position supports the safe and efficient production, handling, storage and dispatch of fertiliser products while upholding high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate fixed and mobile plant equipment to support production, handling, storage and dispatch activities.
• Complete production and dispatch tasks in line with operational schedules, quality standards and site procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues to ensure plant reliability.
• Accurately record operational data and process ERP transactions using SAP or D365.
• Maintain housekeeping and environmental compliance across the site.
• Follow safe work procedures and contribute to Ridley’s Zero Harm culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and transport providers to meet operational and customer service goals.
• Identify and suggest improvements for safety, productivity and performance.

Required profile

• Experience operating fixed and/or mobile plant in a production, manufacturing, logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Current Queensland driver licence.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem‑solving abilities.
