Operations Transformation Director

About the role

As an Operations Transformation Director at PwC Australia, you will lead large‑scale transformation programmes for clients in the Energy, Utilities and Mining sectors, uncovering hidden operational opportunities and delivering strategic roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of multi‑disciplinary transformation programmes, managing scope, milestones, budgets and stakeholder alignment.
• Conduct diagnostics through process analysis, data gathering and stakeholder interviews, turning insights into evidence‑based recommendations.
• Design and implement target operating models, including organisation design, governance and technology enablement.
• Produce client‑ready deliverables, executive presentations and reports, and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Coach and develop team members, fostering an inclusive environment and supporting career growth.
• Partner with clients and internal teams to enable data‑driven decision‑making and manage change adoption.

Required profile

• Practical experience in the Energy, Utilities or Mining sector.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale operations transformation or process‑improvement programmes.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic capability with the ability to translate data into strategic insight.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, including coaching and managing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and senior‑executive presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI and productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot.
• Advanced PowerPoint slide design and storytelling.
• Workshop facilitation for operational and executive audiences.
• Data analysis and diagnostic techniques.
