Operations Operator – Events & Exhibitions

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Operations Operator to join Moreton Hire’s team and support the delivery of major events and exhibition builds across Australia. You will work on‑site alongside Project Managers, clients and venue staff to ensure projects run smoothly, safely and to a high standard. You will oversee set‑up and tear‑down phases, manage on‑site resources and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate labour, equipment and logistics for on‑site event and exhibition builds.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, clients and venue teams to align delivery plans.
• Problem‑solve in real time to keep projects on schedule and to a high standard.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and meets quality expectations.
• Oversee set‑up and tear‑down activities, managing resources and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, reliable and team‑focused.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong work ethic with a “get it done” attitude.
• Experience in events, construction, logistics or a similar field.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing site conditions.
