Operations Manager – Geraldton Branch

About the role

Cummins is looking for a self-motivated Operations Manager for its Geraldton branch, a key appointment within the Western Region Leadership team. The role leads the service and parts teams and is accountable for achieving business objectives in the Midwest of WA. It is a hire-to-develop opportunity for an emerging leader, with coaching, exposure to key business disciplines and growing accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer satisfaction through Net Promoter Score and Lens of the Customer programs
• Drive service improvements, monitor Repair Event Cycle Time and manage process improvements
• Own all branch functions and financial metrics, including the annual operating plan, balanced scorecard, profit and loss and asset metrics
• Build customer relationships and develop new business partners and alliances
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
• Manage facilities maintenance and leases, and recommend facility changes
• Build a customer service culture and recruit, develop, motivate and retain staff
• Provide hands-on operational leadership across service and parts, covering Service Advisor and Parts Advisor duties during leave or busy periods

Required profile

• Significant relevant experience, including managerial and budgetary experience
• Experience leading a small team or working in a supervisor, team leader or senior operational role
• Clear potential and motivation to move into a first management position
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted working relationships
• A customer-focused mindset and commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement and commercial capability
