Operations Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead site operations in a high‑volume food manufacturing environment in Campbelltown. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will own operational performance and drive results across safety, quality, service and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day production and overall site operations.
• Deliver KPIs and service levels while ensuring compliance with WHS, HACCP and GMP standards.
• Partner with Engineering to maximise plant uptime and right‑first‑time performance.
• Develop, coach and mentor production leaders and frontline teams.
• Manage labour planning, workforce performance and engagement.
• Collaborate with Planning, Technical, Logistics and Supply Chain functions.
• Lead change management and continuous‑improvement projects, including automation initiatives.
• Manage union and key stakeholder relationships where required.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in FMCG, food production or manufacturing.
• Proven track record of driving operational and cultural improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency, productivity and deliver measurable business results.
• Experience managing budgets and delivering cost and margin improvements.
• Strong commercial leadership capability with a history of leading high‑performing teams.
• Relevant degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Supply Chain (highly desirable).
