Operations Administration Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations Administration Assistant to support our Operations, Commercial and Ground Transport teams at Cairns Airport. Working closely with the General Manager Operations & Commercial, you will help keep daily airport activities running smoothly in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with calendar management, travel arrangements and meeting coordination.
• Organise meetings, prepare agendas, presentations and reports.
• Provide administrative support to Operations, Commercial and Ground Transport teams.
• Support projects, operational initiatives and stakeholder coordination.
• Maintain documentation, track tasks and manage systems such as SharePoint.
• Handle financial processes including invoicing, expenses and reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external events and follow‑up actions.
• Support community stakeholder groups.

Required profile

• Experience in administration, operations support or executive support roles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Unrestricted right to work in Australia and ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card.
