OOSH Educator (Casual Pool) - Maitland and Hunter

About the role

St Nicholas OOSH is looking for OOSH Educators to join its teams across several services in the Maitland and Hunter regions. The positions are casual, covering before and after school programs and vacation care programs. Candidates must be available to work afternoon shifts at least twice a week.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise children's play, ensuring their physical safety while promoting and guiding positive behaviour
• Help develop and implement programs that offer a wide range of experiences to support children's independence, social skills, learning and development

Required profile

• Certificate III in Children's Services or Certificate IV in School Age Education recognised by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority, or be studying toward an early childhood or primary teaching qualification
• Working with Children Check verification number
• Current First Aid certificate; Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training desirable
• Food Handler Basics training desirable
• Experience in an OOSH service desirable

• Computer literacy to document learning stories
