Onsite Computer Technician – IT Support Specialist

About the role

Geekify is seeking an Onsite Computer Technician to join its growing team in Canberra. You will travel to residential and commercial client sites, providing hands‑on troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of a wide range of computer hardware and software.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver rapid, high‑quality technical support directly at client locations.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair desktops, laptops and peripheral devices.
• Configure, upgrade and resolve issues across Windows, macOS and Linux environments.
• Install and configure Wi‑Fi routers, network printers, smart‑home technology and backup systems.
• Explain technical issues in plain language, recommend preventative solutions and identify upsell opportunities.
• Accurately log job details, resolution steps and parts used in the ticketing system.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience in computer maintenance, hardware repair and OS troubleshooting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into clear advice.
• Comfortable recognising client needs and suggesting upgrades or maintenance plans.
• Highly organised self‑starter able to manage daily schedules and priorities.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
