Officer - Terminal Quality

About the role

CBH, a leading Australian grain co-operative, is seeking an Officer - Terminal Quality to join its team at the Kwinana Grain Terminal on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Coordinator - Terminal Quality, you will support the monitoring and maintenance of grain quality across commodities received and exported through the terminal.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor grain quality and sampling activities to support the quality of commodities received and exported through the terminal.
• Support compliance with quality, environmental and HACCP standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties so that vessel loading meets customer quality and sampling specifications.
• Coach and guide Grain Samplers, Authorised Officers and other personnel on sampling procedures and quality requirements.
• Assist with actions arising from grain quality audits and escalate quality or sampling issues as required.

Required profile

• Experience working collaboratively within an operational environment.
• Strong communication and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety and maintaining high-quality standards.

Required skills

• Desirable: knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or HACCP standards and training experience.
• Desirable: relevant exposure to grain, export shipping, storage or quality operations.
