Offensive Security Consultant

About the role

As an Offensive Security Consultant at Mantel, you will join a fast‑growing cyber security practice that works closely with enterprise clients across Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for uncovering security weaknesses through hands‑on penetration testing and helping clients improve their overall security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Execute large‑scale and targeted penetration testing projects for enterprise customers.
• Test client applications (web, mobile, desktop), networks and systems using black‑box, grey‑box and white‑box approaches.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, document findings and recommend remediation actions.
• Produce detailed reports that prioritise risks and provide actionable security recommendations.
• Communicate technical findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest exploits, vulnerabilities and security trends.
• Contribute to the team’s knowledge base by researching new tools and methodologies.

Required profile

• Experience conducting multiple types of penetration tests (network, web, mobile) for customers.
• Strong foundational knowledge of networking, operating systems and web application security principles.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
