Occupational Therapist

About the role

Lifecare, a Lifecare Physiotherapy clinic in Melbourne, is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist. You will deliver high-quality assessments and interventions to support clients' independent living, covering effective assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Occupational Therapy services tailored to each client's needs, using a person-centred approach.
• Conduct assessments and provide interventions for clients within their home environment.
• Collaborate with Case Managers, Allied Health Professionals, GPs and other healthcare providers to ensure effective client outcomes.
• Prepare reports that meet the requirements of funding bodies such as NDIS, DVA, Medicare and Home Care Package providers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Case Managers, GPs, community centres and other referral partners.

Required profile

• Ocupational Therapy degree with current General AHPRA registration.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team while managing a community-based caseload independently.
• Genuine interest in supporting older adults and people living with disability.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Current driver's licence, access to a reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or the ability to obtain them; willingness to undergo a National Criminal History Check.
