Occupational Therapist - Hobart

About the role

Amplar Health, the unified health services brand of Medibank, is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join its Hobart team and deliver mobile allied health services across the community. The role works primarily with older Australians in their homes, supporting them to stay safe, independent and well.

Key responsibilities

• Home and environmental assessments
• Home modifications and bathroom modifications
• Equipment prescription and assistive technology
• In-home rehabilitation and reablement
• Falls prevention and risk reduction
• Functional and cognitive assessments
• Pressure care and manual handling advice
• Supporting clients to maintain independence and achieve their goals at home

Required profile

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Experience in community health, aged care, rehabilitation and/or home modifications
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across the Hobart region

Required skills

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
