Nursing Assistant (Night Shift Only)

About the role

Mercy Health is hiring a permanent part-time Nursing Assistant for night duty only at its Mercy Place Cairns aged care facility. The role provides care to residents in line with care plans, Aged Care Standards and Mercy Health policies, with pay set according to the EBAL.

Key responsibilities

• Provide care to residents in accordance with their care plans, Aged Care Standards and Mercy Health policies and procedures
• Keep accurate and timely documentation related to resident care
• Work with other staff to give timely information needed for RCS assessment and classification
• Take part in the quality process

Required profile

• Resilient, compassionate and committed to patient-centred care
• Current Police Record Check and NDIS worker clearance, or in the process of obtaining them
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders

• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to patient care and management
• Ability to build respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team
