Nursery Team Member

About the role

Pearl Recruitment is recruiting a Nursery Team Member for a well-established horticultural operation in Perth's Northeastern Suburbs. The client produces Australian native plants used in landscaping, revegetation, environmental rehabilitation and urban greening projects across Western Australia. It is a permanent, full-time, hands-on production role with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Spray chemicals, blend soil and carry out weed control
• Seed, tube and pot a variety of plants
• Maintain plants and crops and grade them to quality standards
• Pick, prepare and quality-check customer orders and help get them dispatched on time
• Monitor irrigation systems and carry out basic troubleshooting
• Handle chemicals according to relevant procedures and support general nursery activities

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial nursery, horticulture, landscaping or similar production environment
• Willingness to obtain a ChemCert card (an 8-hour online course or 1 day of in-person training)
• Reliable, physically fit and comfortable with repetitive outdoor work
• Willing to take part in a weekend watering roster (not required immediately)
• Driver's licence and full Australian working rights
