Nurse Unit Manager - Surgicentre

About the role

Calvary Riverina is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse Unit Manager to join its Perioperative Services team. The position is based in the Surgicentre (Day Procedure Unit) and works closely with the Main Theatre team at the hospital and the Deputy Director of Clinical Services - Perioperative Services to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. It is a full-time role, though part-time arrangements may be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Day Procedure Unit effectively and efficiently
• Engage with employees and stakeholders
• Manage associated KPIs
• Support staffing, rostering and payroll
• Ensure high quality and safe care is delivered

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registered nurse registration
• Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Proven experience in people leadership and team management
• Understanding of nurse management KPIs and operational performance measures
• Knowledge of national standards, perioperative practice standards and infection prevention and control requirements
