Non-Training Mental Health Registrar (Half‑time)

About the role

Esus Centre, Australia’s first ICHOM‑accredited psychiatric day hospital, is seeking a qualified doctor to join its multidisciplinary team as a Non‑Training Registrar. This half‑time position offers genuine clinical depth without overtime, on‑call duties, or weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical monitoring for intensive day‑hospital programs covering eating disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and youth mental health.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
• Observe and co‑facilitate group therapy sessions under supervision.
• Collaborate closely with a consultant psychiatrist (FRANZCP) and a GP with mental‑health expertise.

Required profile

• Full registration with AHPRA.
• Minimum of one year post‑internship clinical experience.
• Strong interest in mental health and the biopsychosocial model.
• Ability to work effectively within an MDT.
• Curiosity, warmth, and a desire for professional growth.
