Night Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

Dematic is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join its night‑shift team at a customer site in Moorebank, Sydney. This permanent position works from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am on rotating schedules (4 on‑5 off, 5 on‑4 off or 5 on‑5 off) and offers hands‑on experience with both electrical and mechanical systems in a leading automation and robotics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and record activities in Maximo CMMS.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies during night‑shift work.

Required profile

• Australian recognised electrical qualification (Cert III Electrotechnology).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with prior maintenance experience.
• Safety‑first attitude and ability to work night‑shift schedules.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical maintenance, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs, Siemens S7 and SCADA (training provided).
• Familiarity with Maximo CMMS (preferred, training available).
