National Environmental Manager

About the role

FMG Engineering, a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with offices in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, is looking for a National Environmental Manager to grow its Environmental business. The role suits someone who can balance commercial and technical outcomes for clients, both external and internal, and who can guide, develop and grow a team. It is based in Adelaide or Melbourne and involves national work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a growing Environmental team
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Provide environmental advice to internal and external clients
• Supervise, mentor and peer review the technical work of other team members
• Deliver the financial outcomes for the team, including managing the team's Profit and Loss

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in environmental engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in contaminated land consulting in a client-facing role
• Proven skills in building and maintaining client relationships
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong report writing ability
• Strong project management skills
• Flexibility to work in the office, on site or interstate
