National Account Manager – Grocery & Pharmacy

About the role

Join a fast‑growing Australian biotechnology brand as a National Account Manager, responsible for managing and expanding national retail and pharmacy accounts across grocery, wholesale and banner groups. You will be the primary liaison for key customers, driving category growth and delivering measurable promotional ROI.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow a portfolio of national retail and pharmacy accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior buyers and stakeholders.
• Lead Joint Business Plans (JBP), including listings, pricing, promotional calendars and retail media.
• Develop and execute retail growth plans, planograms, shelf modular designs and in‑store activities.
• Support new product development launches and event uplifts.
• Negotiate listings and trading terms, resolve conflicts and align on joint objectives.
• Analyse sales forecasts, performance data and KPIs to identify opportunities and optimise results.
• Collaborate with business development, marketing and field sales to ensure strong visual presence and maximise marketing ROI.
• Travel nationally as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in account management, sales or category management within FMCG.
• Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end relationships for national accounts.
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset with experience in forecasting and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
