About the role

As a contractor on the Kairros Interpreting Service (KIS) panel, you will deliver interpreting services for individuals who have experienced psychological or physical workplace injuries. The role focuses on supporting medical and healthcare conversations to ensure clear, accurate communication for all parties involved.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide tele‑interpreting and face‑to‑face interpreting for clients across a range of languages.
  • Facilitate accurate communication during medical assessments, treatment discussions, and return‑to‑work consultations.

Required profile

  • Hold a current ABN and NAATI accreditation as an interpreter in at least one of the listed languages.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative, inclusive approach and the ability to engage effectively with diverse cultural groups.

Required skills

  • Fluency in one or more of the following languages: Lao, Hindi, Vietnamese, Dinka, Nepali, Khmer, Samoan, Bosnian, Maltese.
  • Professional interpreting skills with a focus on medical and workplace contexts.
