Music Teacher

About the role

St Joseph's College, a boarding and day secondary boys' school founded in 1881 by the Marist Brothers and governed by Marist Schools Australia, is seeking a full-time ongoing music curriculum teacher starting Term 1, 2027. The successful candidate will join a flourishing music education program and work in a modern, supportive environment close to public transport with free parking.

Key responsibilities

• Teach music within a flourishing music education program
• Lead and manage a student liturgical music program
• Lead co-curricular ensembles (highly desirable)
• Apply the College's Learning Framework and work collaboratively within the department

Required profile

• Suitably qualified with a proven record of excellence in teaching and learning
• Experience leading and managing a student liturgical music program
• Supportive of the College's Catholic ethos and tradition
• Early career teachers are welcome; applications close 6 November 2026

Required skills

• Experience with music technology (highly desirable)
• Ability to lead co-curricular ensembles (highly desirable)
