About the role
The Council is looking for a motivated Multi‑Skilled Construction Worker to support the construction and maintenance of its municipal roads, drainage and civil infrastructure. This hands‑on position combines plant operation, labouring duties and technical tasks across a variety of projects.
Key responsibilities
- Operate heavy plant and equipment (up to 24 t GVM) on road and drainage works.
- Perform labouring tasks such as earthworks, concreting, formwork and pipe laying.
- Assist with traffic management and ensure safe work practices.
- Maintain equipment, complete documentation and conduct inspections.
- Read and interpret technical plans, drawings and specifications.
Required profile
- Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent experience.
- Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s Licence and White Card (Construction Induction).
- Extensive experience in civil infrastructure construction and roadworks.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
Required skills
- Heavy plant operation (up to 24 t GVM).
- Concrete works and advanced formwork.
- Pipe laying to line and grade.
- Reading and interpreting technical plans and drawings.

- Full‑time permanent role (76 hours fortnightly) with an annual salary of $68,103 AUD.
