Multipurpose Officer / Plant Operator

About the role

Colac Otway Shire Council is seeking a skilled Multipurpose Officer/Plant Operator to join its Services and Operations team in Colac, working from the Colac Depot. The role is permanent and full-time, and involves carrying out allocated tasks on Council's roads, bridges and road reserves, as well as Council-owned and managed land, with an emphasis on safety, quality and budget requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in manual and outdoor civil work activities
• Experience in road construction and maintenance works
• Good written communication skills
• Current manual driver's licence

Required skills

• Traffic control and roadwork signage competence certificates
• OH&S Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Truck and/or machinery tickets such as grader, roller, loader, excavator and skid steer
