Monitoring Center Operator

About the role

Bandit Security is seeking a full‑time Monitoring Center Operator to join its Melbourne team. You will be the first line of defence, monitoring alarms and surveillance feeds to protect client premises and ensure rapid response to security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security alarms in real time.
• Manage incoming calls and coordinate with on‑ground security teams.
• Analyze surveillance data to identify potential threats.
• Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation.
• Facilitate emergency response protocols and ensure timely action.

Required profile

• Proficiency in alarm monitoring systems and surveillance equipment operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage high‑pressure situations.
• Attention to detail with precise incident record‑keeping.
• Problem‑solving ability and quick decision‑making in emergencies.
• Proficiency with computer systems and basic software experience.
• Experience in security operations and customer service is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Background in law enforcement, military, or security is an advantage.
