Mobile Plant Mechanic / HD Fitter

About the role

Komatsu Australia is looking for a qualified plant mechanic to join its Rental Fleet team at Seven Hills as a workshop technician. This is a hands-on workshop role working on Komatsu rental equipment, focused on machine diagnostics, maintenance and repairs, keeping equipment in good working order and ready to return to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair Komatsu rental equipment.
• Complete machine testing, adjustments and fault finding.
• Complete service, condition, warranty and PM documentation.
• Support machine inspections, stocktakes and the Rental-to-Used process.
• Work safely and maintain a high standard of quality and workmanship.

Required profile

• Qualified Mobile / Plant Mechanic trade qualification.
• Previous experience working on mobile plant, heavy equipment or similar machinery.
• Open classification driver's licence.
• Ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.
