Mine Ventilation Technician (FIFO)

About the role

Join AngloGold Ashanti’s underground mining team at Tropicana Gold Mine as a Mine Ventilation Technician. You will work on an 8‑days‑on/6‑days‑off FIFO roster, ensuring a safe and compliant ventilation environment for all personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the underground ventilation system to maintain a safe working atmosphere.
• Audit ventilation infrastructure against approved ventilation plans.
• Prepare, update and distribute ventilation plans.
• Provide ventilation input for mine plans and schedules.
• Conduct statutory ventilation surveys of primary and secondary networks.
• Manage the secondary fan register and coordinate maintenance or change‑outs.
• Assist with underground infrastructure and project work as directed.

Required profile

• Willingness to work as part of a diverse technical and operational team.
• Strong communication skills and confidence to contribute to discussions.
• Enthusiastic attitude toward key accountabilities.
• Readiness to work in an underground mine environment.
• C Class driver’s licence.
• Full permanent working rights in Australia.
