Midwifery Educator – Lead Education Across Logan & Bayside

About the role

The Midwifery Educator will provide advanced education leadership across Logan and Bayside maternity services, shaping the next generation of midwives and supporting evidence‑informed, woman‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, assessment and evaluation of midwifery education programmes for staff at all levels.
• Provide expert clinical advice and collaborate with unit managers, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.
• Drive a culture of continuous learning, research, quality improvement and innovation.
• Lead and support simulation‑based education, professional development, mentoring and capability‑building initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered midwife with advanced knowledge of contemporary practice, education and theory.
• Demonstrated experience in education, training, mentoring and team leadership.
• Strong critical thinking, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in quality improvement, clinical governance and evaluation of education programmes.
• Commitment to woman‑centred, culturally safe and evidence‑informed care.
