Mid-weight Print Designer (9-month Contract)

About the role

Canva is looking for a Mid-weight Print Designer to join a 9‑month contract and help create high‑quality print assets that support our global marketing and product initiatives. You will work closely with design, product and print teams to deliver scalable, editable templates and ensure every print output meets Canva’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create print designs across a range of formats, applying strong typography, layout, colour and composition principles.
• Prepare print‑ready files with correct bleed, trim, CMYK colour profiles and resolution, and conduct pre‑flight checks.
• Manage file setup, packaging and export requirements for various print outputs.
• Design modular, reusable templates and contribute to print design systems and best practices.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate ideation, variation and production workflows while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, communicate design decisions clearly, and participate in critiques.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in visual design fundamentals such as typography, layout, colour and composition.
• Experience creating polished, production‑ready print assets.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or distributed environment.
