Mid-Weight Designer

About the role

Plus Also Studios is seeking a Mid-Weight Designer to join its Melbourne design team. You will work closely with internal creatives to translate concepts into high‑quality visual solutions across branding, advertising, web and digital campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute design concepts for a variety of projects, including brand identities, advertising campaigns, websites and digital assets.
• Translate creative briefs into polished visuals that meet pixel‑perfect standards.
• Build and refine visual identity systems and contribute to pitch decks and client presentations.
• Generate fresh ideas that push creative boundaries while aligning with project objectives and client expectations.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising workload based on deadlines and complexity.
• Stay current with industry trends, design tools and emerging technologies, sharing insights to drive innovation.
• Leverage AI image‑generation and concepting tools to accelerate ideation and visual exploration.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in graphic or visual design, preferably within an agency or fast‑paced environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical expertise and attention to detail.
• Experience in brand strategy and development, understanding how design enhances brand identity.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Curiosity about AI tools and how they can streamline creative workflows.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Figma.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience using AI image‑generation or concepting tools.
