Microsoft Azure Security Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Security specialist to help enterprise clients design, implement and optimise secure Microsoft Azure environments. The role is client‑facing and involves advisory, architecture and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments, maturity reviews and gap analyses, and develop roadmaps and remediation plans.
• Design secure Azure landing zones, implement Microsoft security platforms (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, etc.) and integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Align cloud environments with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks and support audit readiness.
• Facilitate workshops, present to technical and executive audiences and mentor junior consultants.

Required profile

• 5+ years of cloud security or cybersecurity consulting experience, including 3+ years hands‑on with Microsoft Azure security.
• Australian citizenship is mandatory.
• Strong client‑facing consulting and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Azure Policy, Azure Firewall, Azure Key Vault, NSGs, Private Endpoints.
• Zero Trust architecture, Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Well‑Architected Framework (WAF).
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates; CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
• Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) security.
