MEM Supervisor - Mobile Equipment Maintenance

About the role

Rio Tinto is looking for a safety-focused Supervisor to lead its Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) team at the Cape Lambert Port operations. The role is based in the MEM workshop and supports the safe, reliable operation of mobile equipment across the site. It reports to the Superintendent and works an 8 days on, 6 days off, day-shift-only roster, with residential accommodation in Wickham.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team in delivering safe daily production targets, daily plant inspections and supporting plant reliability
• Act as an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes
• Provide safety and technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to trade and non-trade personnel, ensuring safety comes first and the correct work is done
• Complete daily inspections of all work areas and hold regular on-the-job interactions with the team to build a safe and efficient work culture
• Allocate and coordinate planned maintenance activities using Rio Tinto workflow management principles
• Prioritise and manage breakdowns with the mine production team
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on cost saving and production efficiency
