Medical Receptionist

About the role

Sunshine Coast Radiology, the largest medical imaging provider on the Sunshine Coast and part of the Imaging Queensland and Integral Diagnostics network, is hiring a full-time Medical Receptionist for its clinic at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. The role works a 9-day fortnight, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 5:45 am and 9:00 pm and occasional weekend shifts at penalty rates.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional service
• Manage appointments, bookings and patient enquiries
• Answer phones and respond to patient queries
• Process accounts, Medicare and private health claims
• Support Radiologists, Sonographers and Radiographers
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient information
• Liaise with patients, referrers and medical practices
• Help run the day-to-day operation of the practice and take part in team meetings, training and development

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and enjoys helping others
• Confident communicator with patients and healthcare professionals
• Organised, reliable and able to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Professional and respectful with confidential information
• Team player willing to learn and support others
• Previous medical reception or healthcare experience is highly regarded, but strong customer service and administration experience is also welcome
