Medical Imaging Technologist (Fixed Term)

About the role

St Vincent's Health offers two full-time fixed-term Medical Imaging Technologist positions in Fitzroy, Melbourne. One role is at St Vincent's Private Radiology until January 2028, and the other at St Vincent's Public Medical Imaging until October 2027. The team provides imaging services to patients of St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and St Vincent's Private Hospital, working in a friendly and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform imaging examinations independently across a range of modalities and sites within the hospital to a high diagnostic standard.
• Work in General X-ray, Theatre, Fluoroscopy, CT and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories, and other modalities where appropriately trained.
• Take part in a 24-hour roster within Medical Imaging.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiation or equivalent.
• National registration with AHPRA to practice as a Medical Imaging Technologist and a radiation use licence.
• Valid nationally coordinated criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Technical ability and knowledge of diagnostic examinations and modalities.
• Ability to work independently and on a 24-hour roster.
