Medical Administration Registrar

About the role

A 12-month fixed-term, full-time Medical Administration Registrar is sought to join the St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team at its Fitzroy campus, commencing 1 February 2027. The role supports the Medical Director in ensuring effective clinical governance standards and high-quality care across the four SVPHM facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the credentialing of all accredited medical practitioners
• Coordinate orientation, rosters and other aspects of junior medical trainee rotations
• Arrange quarterly medical specialty meetings, including preparation of data
• Take part in risk management activities
• Carry out clinical and medical record audits
• Take part in relevant committees, including in a chair role
• Communicate with hospital staff and accredited medical practitioners

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent, registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Approved trainee of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA)
• At least 3 years of general clinical experience
• Experience and a high skill level in medical/surgical practice
• Commitment to teamwork and to total quality service
