About the role
The Media Technician will support the Media department in a GMP‑licensed laboratory, ensuring all work meets high quality standards and follows documented procedures. This is a temporary 6‑month contract position based onsite.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare media and reagents according to SOPs.
- Perform internal equipment calibrations and maintain calibration records.
- Conduct routine quality control analysis of media/reagents and report any deviations.
- Sign off Media Quality Certificates and ensure compliance with SOPs/methods.
- Clean and sterilise reusable laboratory ware.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Science/Laboratory Techniques (Microbiology) or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Motivated team player with enthusiasm to learn.
