Media & Communications Coordinator

About the role

Healthy Land & Water is seeking a Media & Communications Coordinator to join its People, Culture & Communications team. The role will support strategic communications and media engagement to raise the profile of the organisation and its environmental programs.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit and pitch media releases that meet journalistic standards.
• Create media assets such as fact sheets, talking points and briefing notes.
• Develop clear, audience‑focused internal and external communications.
• Produce high‑quality copy for website content, reports, speeches, presentations and marketing materials.
• Monitor social channels daily, engage with stakeholders, and maintain brand voice.
• Track media, digital platforms and public sentiment, providing insights to the Marketing & Communications Manager.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in communications, media, PR or a related field.
• Proven ability to draft media releases and digital content.
• Exposure to stakeholder engagement and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Basic understanding of media performance metrics and reporting.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms, email‑marketing tools and media‑monitoring solutions.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and time‑management skills.
