Mechanical Team Manager (NSW)

About the role

ACOR is seeking an experienced Mechanical Team Manager / Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead its NSW Mechanical team. This senior leadership position combines hands‑on project delivery with strategic team and business development responsibilities across the NSW market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the NSW Mechanical team, fostering a high‑performance culture and capability growth.
• Oversee team resourcing, workload planning and project delivery to ensure commercially successful outcomes.
• Remain actively involved in key projects, providing senior technical leadership, client engagement and engineering oversight.
• Support business development activities, nurture key client relationships and drive strategic growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with national mechanical leadership to ensure consistency, technical excellence and alignment across the broader business.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering within a building services consultancy, including leadership of medium to large multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven people‑leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor and manage high‑performing engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chartered status and relevant professional registration.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder‑management skills.
