Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a senior Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to support the Battlespace Communication System (BCS) program. The role involves upgrading and integrating core products with new or acquired technologies across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions for electronic, compute and power systems integration.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and configuration management for system hardware.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver scope within cost, schedule and quality constraints.
• Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Australian citizenship to meet Defence security requirements.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering project objectives.

Required skills

• Mechanical systems design, integration and testing.
• Environmental testing, verification analysis and functional assessment.
• Technical report writing and systems integration documentation.
• Development of production drawings, packaging solutions for RF subsystems and electronics.
• Knowledge of defence standards and MIL‑STD specifications.
