Mechanical Service Technician

About the role

McCullochs Hydraulic Engineers are seeking a full‑time Mechanical Service Technician to join their Bendigo team. You will work on mobile and industrial plant, interpreting schematics, repairing hydraulic components and performing low‑voltage electrical diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
• Repair hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps and motors.
• Diagnose and fix hydraulic, control and drive system faults on mobile and industrial equipment.
• Perform basic low‑voltage electrical diagnosis and repair.
• Assemble, install and commission new hydraulic plumbing systems.
• Log service records, test results and maintain work logs.

Required profile

• Relevant trade or tertiary qualification.
• C‑class car licence and forklift licence.
• Mechanical experience on mobile plant and equipment.
• Proven ability to inspect, locate and diagnose faults in hydraulic systems.
• Experience servicing, pre‑delivering, modifying and repairing industrial, agricultural and earth‑moving equipment.
