About the role
Protech is looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to work with one of its leading local clients at a precast concreting yard in Darwin. The position is long term, Monday to Friday, 8 to 10 hours per day, and pays $45 to $57 per hour depending on experience. Penalties apply.
Key responsibilities
- Maintenance, servicing and repair of plant and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out breakdown repairs
- Mechanical installation of moving parts and machinery
- Fabrication of steel moulds
- Welding and structural steel work, including fabrication and repairs
- Repair and maintenance of damaged or distorted steel moulds and formwork
Required profile
- Australian recognised trade qualification
- Similar experience working in heavy industry
- Own transport and a driver's licence
- Permanent resident of Darwin
- Must pass a drug and alcohol test and a pre-employment medical
