Mechanical Fitter

About the role

Join Saputo’s Kiewa site as a Mechanical Fitter, maintaining and repairing mechanical systems across dairy production facilities. You will help ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production and processing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults while complying with food safety standards.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
• Document maintenance activities accurately using SAP.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive equipment reliability and process improvements.

Required profile

• Trade‑qualified Mechanical Fitter with experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Willingness to work a 4‑on/4‑off roster with 12‑hour rotating day/night shifts.
• Positive attitude toward digital systems and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and process equipment.
• Experience using SAP for maintenance documentation.
