Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will support safe and effective operation, maintenance and management of facility assets, infrastructure and systems for a government and private‑sector partner in Alice Springs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical studies, analyses and investigations to define detailed requirements for facility infrastructure, equipment and system modifications.
• Design solutions, review proposed changes and provide engineering calculations, cost estimates and technical advice for infrastructure and system upgrades.
• Evaluate operational systems and equipment to drive optimisation, reliability and life‑cycle management while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualification is desirable.
• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain Top‑Secret Positive Vetting security clearance.
• Minimum one year of experience with building management and control systems, HVAC or hydronic systems.
